Biography

Fabio Alonso Salazar Jaramillo is a journalist, writer and Colombian politician, was born in the municipality of Pensilvania, Caldas, Colombia, March 13, 1960. It is the mayor of  Medellin for the period 2008-2011.

has published several works, widely cited and some translated into other languages. In 2003 he won the Planeta Prize for Journalism in his book "Prophet in the Desert
